Introduction

If you’re noticing the amount of hot water dispensed does not match the amount selected, you can recalibrate your machine for better results. The process is easy—you’ll use a scale once to teach the machine the correct amount, then you’ll be good to go!

What You'll Need:

For this process, all you need is water for your Series 1 and a reliable scale.

Calibration Steps

Step 1: Weigh the Water

Place an empty cup on a zeroed scale under the grouphead. Then, press the hot water button on top of your machine (the piano button on the right side with the water droplet).
 

Write down:

• Your target volume (e.g., 6 oz or 200 ml)
• The actual weight you got

Step 2: Calculate the Correction

Formula: Actual volume ÷ Target Volume

Examples:

• Target 7 oz (207 ml), got 180 g → correction +13%
• Target 200 ml, got 180 g → correction +10%

Step 3: Enter the Correction

• Go to Settings → Customization → Nerdy Settings -> Scroll to WATER OFFSETS
• Adjust the percentage multiplier from 0 to the number you just calculated
