Why is my international Drop coffee so old?! Why is my international Drop coffee so old?!

Why is my international Drop coffee so old?!

While a roast date that's 3-4 weeks old can be alarming, there's no need to worry! Allow us to explain...

In order to bring you the best coffees from around the world without an added 2-3 week shipping delay, we have all our international Drops roasted and shipped to us in advance. That way, we can begin shipping your coffee to you within the normal 48 hours from the order date.

We'd never sell you coffee lacking flavor and depth of flavor, so the most important part of this process is having our international roasting partners roast the Drops with an extended resting period in mind (normally 3-4 weeks). This is to ensure that by the time it completes its trek across the ocean and arrives at your door, it will still brew well for a number of weeks!

It's also worth noting that the date might be listed in an international format, where the day is listed before the month. So, if you purchased your coffee in May and the date reads 2/5/24, it's likely that it was brewed on May 2nd, not the 5th of February.

Rest assured, all our international Drops are typically roasted to brew will for up to two months after the roast date.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to us here if you have any other questions!
