What is the current EKG firmware version and what did it update?

Latest Firmware

The latest firmware version is 1.2.24. 

We're releasing version 1.2.24 in stages. If you don't have it yet, there's no need to worry! You should be receiving it soon. 

Here's what's new:

  • 🌎 English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese now all come with one firmware; no extra downloads needed.
  • 🌡️ More accurate temperatures for any amount of water. The kettle now senses how much water it's heating and adjusts, so it hits your target with less overshoot.
  • 💨 Faster, smoother heat-up. It gets to temperature quickly and settles in gently.
  • 🦾 A steadier display. The temperature reading no longer jumps around while heating or in Hold mode.
  • 🕵️‍♂️ The kettle notices when you add water mid-brew and heats back up.
  • ❌ Fewer false "Add Water" alerts.
  • 🔥 More reliable Pre-Boil.
  • ⚙️Quicker, more dependable calibration (Menu > General > Calibration). The setup screen now opens with a clear "Warning! Fill halfway with water."
  • 🔋 When idle with the display off, your kettle now rests in a low-energy sleep. 
  • 🔄 Turn automatic firmware updates on or off from the menu, separately from WiFi. Keep WiFi for the clock without automatic updates if you prefer. Updates are also more reliable.
  • ℹ️ New About screen showing your kettle's firmware version.
  • 🗣️ Language and display polish: clearer Korean and Simplified Chinese text, more complete French and Spanish translations, and tidier schedule screens.

his version contains minor tweaks with major impact! This update:

  • Adds brew stopwatch functionality in Hold Mode
  •  Resolves clock resetting to midnight and continuing to run after unplugging, power outage, or firmware update. Clock now stays on midnight until you manually set the time so you can schedule your next boil
  •  Makes button behavior more consistent. The kettle can now only be turned on and off by pressing the main dial button
  •  Implements minor bug fixes
