How do I update my Series 1's firmare?

Introduction

Updating your Series 1's firmware is a quick and easy process! Check out the steps below to make sure you have the correct application and that your Series 1 is updated properly.

Download the Correct App

Fellow has two different applications - one for our Pro/Pro Studio Kettles, and one for Series 1 and Aiden. To download the one needed for Series 1, click the link(s) below:

 

Connect Your Series 1

During the onboarding process, your Series 1 will display a QR code that will take you to the Fellow - Coffee app and get the process started. Regardless of whether you do that or download it later, the following steps still apply. 

 

Add a New Device

Once you have the app open, click the "+" icon in the top-right corner of the app.

Then, click "Continue" on the next screen.

After this, you'll see a list of eligible devices. Each Fellow product has its own Bluetooth name, and if you're curious about what your Series 1's is, you can find it by going to Settings > Misc > About > Bluetooth Name. Once you find the correct one, select it.

The next screen will give you a list of WiFi networks. Select yours from the list, and submit the correct password. From there, your Series 1 should connect (though it may take a minute or two) and should show up on the Fellow - Coffee App homescreen!
