Written Instructions

Like following written steps more? We've got you covered! Below, you'll find a set of step-by-step instructions for cleaning your Aiden's showerhead.

Removing the Showerhead

  • Begin by turning the selector switch in the middle from the single-serve position (green dot) to the batch brew (blue dots) position if it's not already.

  • Next, continue rotating the selector switch clockwise. It may take some force, but you'll begin to feel the showerhead rotating, and see the arrow toward the bottom go from the dot on the right to the one on the left.

  • If you keep turning from there, the showerhead should release from the lid (if it didn't already). Now it's time to clean!

Cleaning the Showerhead

We recommend cleaning the front and back of your showerhead with dish soap, warm water, and a soft brush or sponge. It's okay if you need to scrub a little, but try not to use anything overly abrasive or be too aggressive.

Please note: Aiden's showerhead is not dishwasher safe.

Reattaching the Showerhead

  • Once your Aiden's showerhead is clean, begin by pressing it back onto the underside of the lid, with the arrow toward the bottom lining up with the circle on the left.

  • From there, begin turning the selector switch counterclockwise. It will switch from the batch brew position to the single-serve position. Continue turning until the arrow lines up with the circle on the right (again, this might take a little force).

  • Once the arrow and the circle on the right line up, you're all set! The showerhead selector in the middle should be able to go back and forth between the single-serve and batch brew positions without the whole showerhead moving.

See a White, Chalky Substance?

If you look at your Aiden's showerhead and see a white, chalky substance in the showerhead holes or behind the showerhead itself, you're more than likely looking at mineral scale buildup. In case you're curious about whether you're actually seeing scale buildup or not, we've included an example below.

Unfortunately, scale buildup can't be cleaned effectively using the methods we've outlined above. However, Aiden has a built-in descale feature specifically for instances like these.

If you'd like to learn more about how to descale your Aiden, feel free to check out the help center article here

If you'd like to learn more about scale buildup, why it happens, and how it affects your Aiden, we also have a helpful article here
