If you've reassembled your slide lid and the stopper piece on the bottom won't stay connected to the piston, it means that you've likely just attached the top part before the stopper. In this situation, there's no need to worry! Following the steps below will get your lid back to functioning properly:
- Grab a hold of the piston on the underside of the lid (we know, it's pretty difficult), pull it down to release the sliding part of the lid
- Place the stopper piece on the piston on the underside of the lid
- While holding the stopper in place, push down on the piston from the top, using a screwdriver or coin to lock it in place
- Pull down on the newly seated stopper to reattach the sliding part to the top of the lid
