Even though our Carters are made to last and designed to be easy to clean, there's always a chance that they may become stained or develop an odor, depending on a variety of factors. There's no need to worry, though! We've included steps below to get your Carter back in pristine shape.
How to Clean
If you've not already, try thoroughly hand washing your Carter with soap/warm water and then leaving it to dry out overnight. An important note is to make sure the lid and gasket are separated from one another while drying.
However, if you've already tried that and the stain or odor is still present, give the deep cleaning steps below a shot. Before you begin, you'll need to pick up some Urnex Cafiza cleaning powder.
- Add 1/4 tsp of Cafiza to your Carter
- Fill the Carter up with hot water
- Mix the water and Cafiza thoroughly
- Let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes
- Thoroughly rinse out the Carter a few times
- Give it a quick wash with dish soap and warm water, if needed
- Let the Carter air dry overnight
